HISTORY

Our History:

Development of Beaver Lake Estates and the man-made lake was in the early 1970’s by a private developer for ‘fish culture and recreation’. The lake formed is 56 acres and is impounded by Monpano Dam. Drainage from Abernethy Creek fills the lake.

 

The first house in Beaver Lake was built in 1999. 

 

Beaver Lake Estates was constructed by three different developers.


Fun Facts:

 

  • Beaver Lake covers 56 acres.

  • Water for Beaver Lake comes from Abernethy Creek.

  • The first dam was built in 1969 and revamped in 1996.

  • The deepest part of the lake is 18 feet near the dam.

  • 86 total lots are in Beaver Lake Estates.

  • The first house was built in 1999.

  • All homes are built on a minimum of 2 acres.

  • Beaver Lake Estates was originally planned as a high-density development.

  • There are three public docks.

  • There are approximately 6 miles of paved road within Beaver Lake Estates.

  • Wildlife in the area includes deer, coyotes, rabbits, quail, geese, ducks and an occasional mountain lion.

  • Ridgecrest Acres, which is not a part of Beaver Lake Estates, has access through the east gates to their homes.
